The Bonnie Hunt Show

Hi Bonnie! Long time fan of yours - and I was sooo excited to see that you had a daytime show. Such a refreshing change to paternity test mania on other channels! I've seen every show and enjoyed them all. Anyway, just wanted to let you know that I will miss my first episode tomorrow. I can't bear to watch any show that has Kate Gosselin on it. She disgusts me with her attitude that because she CHOSE to have eight children in the span of three years ARTIFICIALLY that the world must cater to her and follow her parenting advice. I can't buy into her PR propaganda machine anymore and I'm sorry that someone led you into her vortex of selfishness. Oh yeah, maybe since she's such a good parent you can ask her why she left Joel (her youngest) in the laundry room all day burning up with fever and vomitting? Or why Alexis has to sleep in the basement alone, among other things. That's what a good mom she is....thought you might want to know. See you Wednesday!

You sure know a lot about a show you don't like to watch! You all sound so petty. Jealous even. There are 300 other channels to watch at any given time. Chill out!

I totally agree with Cindy. I'm also sure that there are moments in all our lives we don't shine as mothers. She found a way she can get all those special moments on tape without paying someone to follow her around with a camera, and how many people struggle to send 1 or 2 kids to college or even just to be involved in sports and extra curricular activities, she's really giving them the benefits most parents would have a hard time giving their children

Hi Bonnie, gee you sure do have harsh fans about Kate Gosselin. I think she is amazing and so what she had help getting pregnet. So what her children help with laundry, it's a great start for them to appreciate all that has to be done. The Gosselins are a team and I love them unconditionally. They have religious values that are the core of all there beliefs. When you have that many kids and they get sick you should keep them apart so they don't the other's sick. Alexis gets up in the middle of the night and wakes up the house, so yes she needed to be separated. It's not like she is left home alone. Be a positive person and not negative. Say something happy instead of judging someone for doing something that you have never experienced. Would you want someone to say negative things about you? It's not human.

This woman kills me. I used to be a fan & never missed their show. My sister lives close to them & actually poked fun of me for falling for the whole mother of the year act. I looked some things up to prove her wrong. Guess what? She was right. This whole show is a farce. The production co. pays for her full time organic chef (the only time Kate cooks is for a segment of the show), they have a house keeper paid for by the production company that comes in daily to clean, Kate as a personal executive assistant that runs various errands for the family and of course Jenny is paid for by the production co. as well. Kate's parents church donated cribs and other items when the sextuplets were born and Kate rejected them because they did not match!!! She would only accept brand new unused items that matched which embarrassed her parents. Her brother Kevin's wife Jodi used to watch them (for free) until the production co. decided that Jodi should be compensated. Kate would have none of it and Jodi was not only off the show but the only adult in these children's lives that didn't exploit them was gone as well. Now? No family - even Beth Kate's friend who she referred to as an "angel from above" is gone. The production co. is now building them a house in S. or N. Carolina (2 million by the way) so they can be closer and production will be easier. What do Kate & Jon see? A free 2 million dollar home. What are they blind to? Their children being used, kids working (yes it is working) 15+ hrs a day, a house that is really a studio with built in lighting and crew quarters. I'm glad Kate & Jon don't have a problem with family being absent because these children are going to turn 18 & they'll never see them again!

For those of you who have fallen for this charade just open your eyes & do a little research.

I love Bonnie Hunt and intensely dislike Kate!!! Some people are quite secure in their lives and not at all jealous. But when we see, really see wrong then some of us have to speak up. Some of us aren't blinded by our belief systems and see the truth and facts are facts...I don't see love or consideration...I only see chaos and confusion And why should I care? Because Everyone is paying for these people...like lisa said..."do your research." I like the kids and Jon, but Kate is a greedy, inconsiderate, ungrateful shrew and I do hope that they fade away to allow for some truely deserving families. Also, may I point out, the fact that it was SCIENCE not God that produced these miracles...do your research as well as reading and believeing in whatever else you proclaim to be true...if you read that good old book properly, you would find that you should not bless people or pray for them unless you have their express permission...Kate Gosselin would rather have her hand open than her heart to welcome your blessings on the mess that she has given permission to happen through greed.

Bonnie,
I was so so so happy to see Kate on your show. I enjoy her show just as much as your show! I was a babysitter for a family of six that reminds me of John and Kate's family. When I watch their show it reminds me of all of the good times I had with those kids. I feel that show brings joy into the world and the only reason people have a problem is because they are focusing on negative things. I don't understand why people can't focus on the joy, love, and smiles that the Gosselins give. I think the world could use a little more shows about children and the love they bring to the world!

Anyone can take anything and twist it and turn it into something bad. I repeatedly hear Kate talk about how grateful they are for everything they have been given. When those babies were born, they had nothing! Amen for a mother and father who want to provide for their children. Way to go Kate and Jon! Shame on anyone who thinks they would do anything different.

Lisa, Just had to add my 2 cents worth. I love watching Jon and Kate. If I knew Kate personally, we would not get along, but I appreciate the fact that they have turned their lives upside down to let us into their home. I think it was a wonderful way for them to provide for their family. I Never thought she was the mother of the year, and I bet I would have a hard time finding anyone deserving of that title. We all have our quirks and our bad times. Theirs are just caught on tape so it can be played over and over and people like you can build yourselves up, by putting them down. When they began this show, They didn't have any money, Kate DID make all the meals and did everything herself. The people who do these reality shows, get paid, and they get paid a lot when they are successful. I don't know anyone who would continue to live like a pauper with a bank account full of money, Or who would not hire help to take care of EIGHT young children if they were able to. I would hire help for me and my husband if I was able to. You may have believed that everything stayed the same from the first airing, but I did not. Did you really think she wrote a book in her spare time, while taiking care of the kids and the house herself? I don't agree with a lot of things they do, But I see a lot things that they do right. Everytime I think our country is making progress in accepting others who are different from us, all I have to do is turn on the computer, then I see and hear people judging, hating, and tearing down others. I'm sorry you did not have a clear picture of how things work in the tv biz, but it does not mean that they were being deceitful. They do not edit the films or direct the filming. You say you watched the show all the time, did you miss the shows where they showed the film crew crammed in the house, trying not to trip over the Gosselins or each other. After spending several years living like this, you would be searching for a house with as much room as possible too. I don't believe there is anything wrong with the filming crew wanting better, more convenient lighting, or more space. They all collectively have made the show a success and they are entitled to reap the benefits. The children are well behaved and have everything they need. They also have gotten very close with the film crew. Did you also miss the shows where they are interacting with them, and it shows the members of the crew speaking very fondly of the family and the relationships that has grown between them?
You can continue to look for the trash talk on the web, I will continue to try and find the positive things about others. The feeling I get when I am being positive and optimistic, is better than any anti-depressant ever made.

Hi Leisa, I remember that scene. Is that the same show where they talked about how everytime they make a mistake, or act less than pleasant, it is repeated over and over. Then the whole show was made up of those scenes? There was another show where they talked about Kate yelling. They played all the scenes in which she yelled and had to repeat the same scenes several times because there was not enough for a whole show. That was early on, I believe they have enough now. I have noticed lately, they have been showing Jon being impatient and quick to anger. I know they do that for ratings and I don't like it. I watch to see the kids. I could care less what their parents do. I don't want to see them yelling, griping, or disciplining the children. If I want to see that, I'll watch SuperNanny. I don't think I have missed a show since it started. I check the reruns just in case and end up watching some of them again. They some times run together in my mind and I'm not sure which show is which. I like the shows that show the crew and how things are taped and edited. It shows us a little bit more of how things really work but, nobody really knows the whole story except for Jon and Kate. I think it is very conceited for people to assume they know enough of them from watching a half hour show weekly, and reading what others have wrote, that they can stand in judgement against them, or anyone else for that matter. It is one thing to say I heard, and I think, and quite another to talk in absolutes like you experienced it yourself. Along with their fame and fortune there is bond to be a fair amount of alienation and judgement with the people that know them. I would be suspicous of even the closest friends and family members. Most of us have ,or have had, friends or relatives who were petty, jealous, judgemental, or just plain mean. I can't imagine any adult who hasn't.
Okay, enough of that. Sorry, I tend to ramble on when there is no one to stop me.
I hope to be lucky enough to have grandkids someday. My youngest just turned 20. I am grateful I haven't become a grandma too early, but I miss having little ones around.
Have a great day Leisa.

Okay I confess I watch the show and enjoy it. I do not care for the way Kate talks to her husband, they both seem to have short tempers some days. So what if the kids get dirty, or jump on boxes. I love watching the kids interact with one another.. some of the parenting skills are way out in left field. All a parent can do is his or her best, kids do not come with instructions. I have one two year old niece, can not imagine what it would be like to take care of 6 all the same age.. she is a handful.
