Rod on your show
I have NEVER been one to join blogs or forums to let people know how I felt, because I figured it didn't matter and someone out there had the same views as me. BUT, I just watched Bonnie with the former governor of Illinois Rod. I am a resident from Illinois (the breeding ground for corrupt politicians it seems) and kudos to Bonnie for not letting Rod talk his way out of the mess he got himself into. I was screaming at the TV screen saying "Damn right, he is so guilty, and you go girl," especially for the comment about getting his wife the job. He used his position for his own personal gain. This interview was perfection! I am embarassed to be an Illinois resident represented by someone like this. He would have more respect from people if he just said, "Ya know what, I'm human, I did it, and I'm sorry." He not only affected his family by HIS own decisions, as Bonnie said, but the MILLIONS of Illinois residents that were hopeful for a new and bright future after the George Ryan incident!!! Disgraceful. I want to become the governor of Illinois so I can fly in a plane DAILY to work on the taxpayers money....his greed started way before this!!!! Even his body language screamed guilt, the man couldn't sit still. Thanks for reading

I said this in another thread, but Bonnie was great with him! You said it perfectly.
I LOVE how he kept trying to use his "young girls" to try to get the audiences' sympathy. He's exactly like Sara Palin. She'll do anything to stay in the limelight.....he's the same....trying to use his girls so that people will focus on them and not on him. But Bonnie didn't let him off the hook. It's the BEST interview with him out of all the shows he's been on---and I'm getting tired of seeing him and those guilty looking SHIFTY eyes!

I completely agree. I got a kick out of watchin him squirm in his chair. He was so horribly uncomfortable. She was excellent. I caught that too about him trying to place blame on everyone else. I watched the interview with Jimmy Kimmel and they talked about his hair...HIS HAIR!!

I don't think we've heard all the evidence and until we do, it's wrong to judge. Bonnie judged. The man proclaims he’s innocent and that just may be, but to declare definitively that he's guilty without knowing for sure, is wrong. If there is evidence that he claims will prove his innocence, the court is duty-bound to show it. If not, then it leads me to suspect they're hiding something.
I'm sorry, but to scold a grown man on how to talk to his kids... geez, I've seen more sympathy from angry nuns.

I don't think that Bonnie really judged him, She just asked very pointed questions, questions that on other interviewer's didn't ask, or that did not get him squirming in his seat. I thought it was a great segmet.

I haven't seen this particular show yet (kinda behind on my DVR stuff) but don't ever hesitate to join our forums here - I'm the LAST person I thought anybody would accept on this site, but they've all looked beyond my tattoos & heavy metal exterior & realized that I'm not so bad after all - LOL - no, but really, there are some AWESOME people on this site (I spend more time here than my Heavy Metal site)
I'll keep your comments in mind though when I do finally get to that show.
