Got Snow? This is my son, Snickers, on his 1st snowshoeing trip. He is Actually standing in this picture, so as you can see, he is Very Low the the Ground--his little legs are only 3" long--his belly was freezing in no time! So he went back in his backpack for mom to carry him.

Permalink Reply by Patty Consoli 1 day ago: This is my sweet dog Kaia. She is half pit bull and half boarder collie. She is 10 years old now and has "raised" our 6 grandkids like a good Nanna. The grandkids are now 8 years old and younger.
We adopted Kaia when she was 12 weeks old from our local SPCA. She was found by the side of the road in a plastic bag with her 5 brothers and sisters. The litter was found in a town that is known for raising pure pit bulls for fighting. Puppies that are "mixed" are thrown away because they are "no good'. I thank God for the SPCA because they were called and went 50 miles to pick up the litter and nursed them back to health.
Kaia was fostered for 6 weeks by the local pet store's Santa Clause, the one they bring in to have pictures taken with the animals at Christmas time. I took her in to the store 3 months after her adoption to "go see santa" and Santa Clause got very "misty eyed" when he saw her and she looked at him in adoration. I know she remembered his loving care that got her ready for our family.; ▶ Reply to This
