In our situations, I believe in rolling with it too! Let's all learn to roll with what God has given us and rejoice that we still can roll!

Hi to all... Today is a good day for me and I feel blessed when I have them. I am of course living on ms cotin. but that is just the way it is to cover the pain I have daily. Well there goes a hitch to the day. The pharmaceutical company that makes them is on back order w/ no date to have them in again. So doc will have to write something else. I hate taking narcotics.. the ms cotin is a time release morphine. Kathleen, I was also a dancer. I danced w/ a company until I was 25.. wow.. that was 25 yrs. ago this sun. I'll be 50. I don't know how much you are unable to do.. but you can always boogie w/ your body.. and arms.. roll w/ the beat... Stretch everything that's stretchable...lol... get some good music on and Roll w/ it.. my thought for the day.!! Roll w/ it....

Hi Kathleen! I'm sorry I haven't been here to check in. There was a death in my family that really hit me hard. My husband is the stroke survivor. His balance is also bad since his strokes. Every step for him is a terrible effort. He doesn't have the fear of falling-as it seems he also lost fear in the strokes. I am the one terrified he will fall.Is there any way you could teach children to dance or help instruct? I think that would be great!

Thank you Janine. I realize I have to be positive. I used to be such a fast paced person and a dancer, so it is a mental as well as a physical challenge to be slow. It was bittersweet when I watched that kid dance to Beyonce... joyous while I watched, but I am not bragging when I say that before my stroke I could dance like that too...used to bring joy. It does make you stop and think about the gifts we are given and how to utilize what we have left. I do realize strokes can be much more devastating than mine...perhaps because of my joy in dancing there is something I am supposed to learn through this. God Bless you too Janine. Also, don't you just love Bonnie and her show? That guarantees that I will have an hour of joy every day! Again, thanks for your kind thoughts.

Kathleen, Be thankful for every step you take as you could not be walking at all. It may take a while but you will regain your positive attitude. Give it to the Good Lord or your God and ask him for help w/ every accomplishment you have or begin. I will keep you in my prayers to gain more and more strength mentally and physically. I have had a stroke which impaired my walking...I will check back again sometime to see if anyone else adds to the activity. I signed up because I assumed others had experienced some type of stroke (the variables are numerous). I just hate how I am left rather scared because every step is frightening, but I do not want to ever become immobile.

I'm glad it worked Janine! I'm sorry I haven't been here! Been sick and in hospital. Now I'm having surgery on the 20th. I miss talking to you and should be here more often now. I will be here alot after the 20th. I will not be able to do a thing for 2 weeks. I will be on the couch and only allowed to get up and use the bathroom. UGH! See you here soon!
