Thanks, Brenda. You keep the coupons. I don't get there that often. I have been known to get more than one coupon, use it, leave the store, put it in the car and return to use another and repeat as many times as it takes! I like the color of the photos an papers for frames, but I love the grain of wood, so I would probably stain and add photos, etc. to it. Thanks for the ideas!
I like the layout, Marjorie! I have an accordion-type frame of my grandson in a similar style. A scrapbook page like that is a great idea, though!

I've already been looking at all the christmas things too. I love just walking down the isles filled with the smells and sparkle of christmas, and the ornaments seperated by color after glorius color. That's MY defination of eye candy. I don't need to buy any of it, just looking is enough to inspire me. Where do you shop for scrapbook supplies Marjorie?

Hi
I was looking thru Holiday layouts to get a few good ideas for my christmas layouts for this year, then I can go out and buy some of my Christmas scrapbooking needs before all my cash is gone at christmas. I found this one online and I think it is a good one. I love getting the many faces of joy from a child and putting it together.

used a spray to finish the trays and it worked real well, except for the edges. I will use a brush on this time. I have stained some things, but I like colors and pictures. I did put a stain on the remote box under the pics. I assume you know there are coupons in the paper for Michaels and Hobby Lobby. If you need extra coupons I can mail you some, but you can only use 1 per visit. We usally have several papers left over after the paper route.

Great ideas, Brenda. My youngest daughter and her husband just bought a house and could probably use a remote box themselves! Be sure to upload photos of them, if you have them. Have you thought about staining the wood trays and using polyurethane varnish on them? It seems as though I've seen some stained and decorated with varnish on them. It sounds as though I need to make a trip to the craft store and start planning!

Yeah, new baby! Congratulations, fun, fun, fun! I don't know why some of those pics changed and not others. Next to your own postings, there is a tiny x on the upper right side. It says delete. I am going to paint some wood trays for both my kids and their spouses. They sell them in 3 sizes, and they nest easily. I made a couple of these for myself a couple years ago and my husband and I use them all the time. We usually eat in the living room and so do my kids. I used a foam stamp and acrylic paints. The only problem I had was when it began to wear on the edges.I had used white to prime it, and then painted it dark colors. So now the edges are showing white. This time I will just paint the same color twice. They also have those remote boxes that turn, tissue boxes, and lots of fun containers. A matching set of items could be made. I made a remote box for my daughter a while back and decoupaged a collage of ,some of her favorite things on it. She loved it.

Yes, Brenda, I meant in the world. I noticed the old ones had changed proportion. I know they weren't like that originally. Perhaps, they've changed something on the website. I am feeling better, Brenda. Thanks. I, too, would love to see pics of others craftwork. I need some ideas for Christmas. Oh, one of the ideas I forgot to mention, but can be seen to one side of one of the photos is a box you can buy at a craft store and cover to coordinate with the decor of the room you put it in. It was suggested you could put one in a new baby's room and put special items in it, such as baby bracelet from the hospital, cards from grandparents, etc. Basically, it's a memory box. I've seen some wooden ones on other shows that are stained or painted according to the likes/dislikes of the person you're making it for. They are very well-received.

Hi Catherine, We have 25 members here but only a few seem to post. What is your crafting passion? I would love to see pics of your work. If you have not yet, check out our pics in the other discussion. Tricia just added some new ones today.
Tricia, Hope your feeling better soon. By arriving, I assume you meant it , as in to the world? When I looked at the pics you uploaded, the new ones were in the right proportions but the older ones were stretched and did not look right. I could not figure it out. Does anyone else have this problem or know why it is doing this?

To Brenda,
I have 2 children. Daughter has 4 children and son has 5 all living near me. My pictures came out good. I use glossy photo paper and also HP Presentation 32lb paper. The program I use the most is The Print Shop program. You sound like you have a lot of crafts that you are involed with.

Hi, Sandra! I agree with Brenda - that's a lot of grandkids! I haven't done much the last week due to a case of bronchitis I got while I was attending the Heritage Makers convention. I haven't gotten much farther with my squash books since I wrote in last July. Hope to get them finished for Christmas gifts. But, I saw at convention some neat crafts you can make for your home that you can use any program for or just craft them yourself. Make your own clock, using one from Walgreen, WalMart or other store by putting your own photo/scrapbook page behind it. Add names or initials or favorite quotes to blocks you have sanded and painted using modpodge. I'll see if I can upload some of the photos I took of them to our photo section. I'll have to try some of them for my grandson that will be arriving this next month.
